Tournaments
Club Tournaments
We currently run 2 major club tournaments every year, and we
encourage as many members as possible to take part.
The Summer Club Championship is the big one, with the winners adding their names
to our honours boards. There are events for Juniors and Seniors alike, and Finals
Day is usually held in September with Junior and Senior finals spread across
the day.
There is also a club bbq afterwards which is open to all!
During the winter we also run a Pot Luck tournament where you are drawn a partner
out of a hat - this is always popular and is a great way to play with people
that you might not normally play with.
Open Tournaments
As well as numerous club tournaments, RLTC also run two major open tournaments
each year. More details about each may be found via the links on the left.
Our Junior Open takes place
during the easter bank holiday every year. this tournament is one of the biggest
Junior Tournaments in the area, and is an LTA Grand Prix event. LTA ratings
points are on up for grabs, and it attracts some of the top junior players from

We also run a Senior Open annually around the beginning of
September. this event is run over a weekend, with mens and ladies doubles taking
place on the saturday, and mixed doubles taking place on the sunday.
both days start with box leagues, with the top pairs from each group progressing
into the knock-out stages. there is also a plate event for those not lucky enough
to make it into the main knock-out. Prize money is usually in the region of
approx £100 per pair for the winners of each event.
We offer opportunities of sponsorship for both of these events. In return, we
offer advertising options for you at the club, ranging from banners to printed
balls to adverts in our clubhouse, and links on our website.
